The Hodinkee x IWC Pilot's Watch Is A Lesson In Understatement

You don’t have to be a die-hard watch nerd to be a fan of Hodinkee. I’ve spoken to plenty of people who have told me, “I don’t give a damn about watches, but I really like Hodinkee.” Like Glossier before it, which started out as a beauty blog and evolved into a major player in the beauty space, Hodinkee has navigated a similar path in the watch world. That evolution was further hammered home with the debut of the IWC Schaffhausen Pilot's Watch Mark XVIII Edition "Hodinkee." Inspired by the classic IWC Mark 11 and the reference 3705 Fliegerchronograph, took an understated approach to the modern collaboration. There is no Hodinkee branding on the dial. Instead the brand opted for its name on the caseback below and engraving of the limited edition number. The watch was limited to only 500 pieces. The Hodinkee x IWC Pilot’s Watch sold for $6,400 and is currently sold out.
